National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a national level scholarship program (Exam) conducted by NCERT (National Council of Education Research and Training) to identify Talent (Pratibhā) and nurturing them for the betterment of the nation. There are 2 stages of this scholarship examination. Stage 1 is conducted by state authority or board and Stage 2 is conducted by NCERT itself.

Every year, Directorate of Secondary Education, Assam organizes National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) Stage I exam to award and facilitate successful candidates of this exam with a scholarship.

Name of Exam: National Talent Search Examination (NTSE), 2020

Date of Exam: 13th December 2020

Name of Department: Directorate of Secondary Education, Assam

Mode of Exam: Offline

Medium of Exam: English and Hindi

Duration of Exam: 120 minutes


Amount of Scholarship: Total 1000 aspirants are eligible to receive below provided scholarship & selection will be as per their merit.

  • Class-XI to XII: Rs.1250/- per month
  • Undergraduates and Post-graduates: Rs.2000/- per month
  • For Ph.D. is fixed in accordance with the UGC norms.

Date of Result Announcement: 17th June 2021, 11 AM
