GATE Examination
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.
Qualifying in GATE is a mandatory requirement for seeking admission and/or financial assistance to: (i) Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and (ii) Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Arts and Science, in the institutions supported by the MoE and other Government agencies. Even in some colleges and institutions, which admit students without MoE scholarship/assistantship, the GATE qualification is mandatory.
Direct recruitment to Group A level posts in Central government, i.e., Senior Field Officer (Tele), Senior Research Officer (Crypto) and Senior Research Officer (S&T) in Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India, is now being carried out on the basis of GATE score.

Educational Qualification: A candidate who is currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program OR has already completed any government approved degree program in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science / Commerce / Arts is eligible to appear for GATE 2022 examination.
Age Limit: There is NO age limit to appear for GATE 2021 examination

- SC/ ST/ PwD/ Female: Rs. 750/-
During the Extended Period (25-09 to 01-10-2021):
- Other Category: Rs. 2000/-

➥ At the end, “Submit the Application Form“ and take a print out of the application form.
GATE 2022 results will be announced on 17th March 2022 and will be available on the GATE 2022 Website. GATE 2022 score is valid for three (3) years from the date of announcement of the results. No information on the GATE 2022 score will be available after this period.
