Indian Navy has released a notification for the recruitment of 2500 Sailor Vacancy for Artificer Apprentice (AA) & Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR) – Feb 2022 Batch. Interested and eligible unmarried Male candidates may apply online here.

Pay & Allowances: During the initial training period, a stipend of ₹ 14,600/- per month will be admissible. On successful completion of initial training, they will be placed in Level 3 of the Defence Pay Matrix (₹ 21,700- ₹ 69,100). In addition, they will be paid MSP @ ₹ 5200/- per month plus DA (as applicable) plus ‘X’ Group pay {only for Artificer Apprentice (AA)} @ ₹ 3600/- per month plus DA (as applicable) as under trainee and ₹ 6200/- per month plus DA on successful completion of AICTE recognized Diploma Course.

Eligibility Criteria of Indian Navy Sailor Recruitment

Martial Status: Only male unmarried candidates are eligible for these sailor vacancy of Indian Navy.

Educational Qualification:

(a) AA: Qualified in 10+2 examination with 60% or more marks in aggregate with Maths & Physics and at least one of these subjects:- Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from the Boards of School Education recognised by MHRD, Govt. of India.

(b) SSR: Qualified in 10+2 examination with Maths & Physics and atleast one of these subjects: – Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from the Boards of School Education recognised by MHRD, Govt. of India.

Age Limit: Candidates should be born between 01 Feb 2002 to 31 Jul 2005 (Both dates inclusive).

Selection Process of Indian Navy Sailor Recruitment

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, an exception is being made in the public interest wherein approximately 10000 candidates will be called-up for written examination and PFT.

The shortlisting of the candidates for written examination and Physical Fitness Test (PFT) will be undertaken on the basis of percentage of qualifying examination (10+2 examination). The cut off marks may vary from state to state as vacancies have been allocated in a state-wise manner.

# Written Examination

The details of the written examination to be conducted to select the eligible candidates for this recruitment is as mentioned below.

Medium of Exam: The question paper will be bilingual – Hindi and English.

Type of Question: The questions will be of objective type.

Syllabus: The question paper consists of four sections i.e. English, Science & Mathematics and General Knowledge. All questions will be 12th level questions.

Duration of Exam: The duration of the AA & SSR examination will be of one hour.

Maximum Marks: The maximum marks of the said exam will be 100 marks.

# Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test is mandatory for selection. The details of PFT is as mentioned below.

Running: Candidates will have to complete 1.6 Km race within 7 minutes.

Squat and Push-ups: Candidates will have to complete 20 squats (Uthak Baithak) and 10 push-ups.
