Staff Selection Commission conducted Constable (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2018 from February 11, 2019, to March 11, 2019, in the Computer Based Mode. Over 30 lakh candidates had appeared for the examination, based on CBT result, over five lakh candidates were shortlisted for appearing the Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST).

The PET/ PST results were announced on December 17, 2019, and on March 4, 2020, more than one lakh candidates were qualified for the Detailed Medical Examination (DME). Of the total 1,52,265 candidates shortlisted, 1,09,552 have qualified.
